WHAT IS THE FLYOUT TRANSITION COMPANY INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
The FLYOUT Internship Program is developed within VIVO Center ASD and APS, a non-profit organization active in the promotion and sustainable development of contemporary dance. It is designed for young people seeking practical professional experience in the dance sector, whether as performers, choreographers or within arts and company management. Participants become part of the day-to-day life of FLYOUT Transition Company and VIVO Center, contributing directly to artistic, production and organizational activities through three pathways: Dance, Choreography and Company Management. Applications are open throughout the year, with particular consideration given to candidates able to commit continuously between October and June, the main annual activity cycle of the company.

THE DANCE INTERNSHIP
The Dance Internship is designed for dancers with a strong contemporary dance background who wish to become fully involved in the artistic life of FLYOUT Transition Company. The minimum commitment is one full annual cycle, from October to June. Dance Interns take part in company classes, rehearsals, creative processes and the development of new productions, while learning and maintaining FLYOUT repertoire. Depending on artistic requirements and selection for individual projects, they may also be involved as dancers in the company’s performances, productions and artistic activities.

CHOREOGRAPHY INTERNSHIP
The Choreography Internship is intended for young people interested in exploring the choreographic process and, in particular, the development of a work from the studio to the stage. Interns work alongside FLYOUT guest choreographers, especially within the RES.ART residency program, supporting the development and production of new creations. Responsibilities may include the coordination of rehearsals, music, costumes and scenic elements, communication with theatres and technical teams, lighting organization and staging logistics. Choreography Interns also take part in company classes as dancers and, depending on artistic requirements and selection for individual projects, may be cast in FLYOUT works and performances. They may also propose their own choreographic creations for possible inclusion in the company’s performance activities.

THE COMPANY MANAGEMENT INTERNSHIP
The Company Management Internship is designed for candidates interested in developing a professional career in the organization and management of the dance sector. The position includes monthly compensation, defined according to the candidate’s profile, experience and agreed responsibilities. Interns work with the FLYOUT and VIVO Center office, supporting production, programming, communication, logistics and company development. A significant part of the role involves researching festivals, open calls and performance opportunities, as well as expanding FLYOUT’s international network and developing professional placement opportunities for company dancers through direct contact with dance companies, choreographers, artistic directors and partner organizations.
